Deputy Fin Min says sees inflation at 4.3% July, 4% 2017
MOSCOW, Jul 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s annual inflation can amount to 4.3% in July and will undoubtedly reach the central bank’s 4% target as of the end of 2017, Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Kolychev told reporters on Friday.
“A little lower than 4.4%, perhaps 4.3%, 0.1 percentage point more or less,” Kolychev said.
In June, inflation jumped to 4.4% annually from 4.1% in May.
Kolychev said, “The seasons have shifted because of the weather. Deflation of fruit and vegetables, which usually takes place in summer shifted a bit but it is expected to occur later this year.”
